Provence and the Côte d’Azur – Day 12: Palais de Longchamp

Add a comment

The Canal de Marseille was built to bring water from the Durance River to Marseille. To celebrate the completion the Palais de Longchamp was built as a representative water tower at the Plâteau Longchamp.

The Parc Longchamp was opened in 1869 and contained a zoo from 1898 until 1987.

Today I was captured again at Château d’If. But I managed to escape and with the last ounce of my strength I made it to reach a beach on a deserted island. So for the rest of the day I had to charge my batteries at this beach.
